Economically attractive purlin systems
SCHRAG purlin systems are economically attractive systems in modern lightweight metal construction. Our cold-formed profiles have proven themselves over many years. With reference to a wealth of impressive reference buildings, steel constructors, hall builders, installers and continuous rooflight manufacturers rely on the uncomplicated installation options and our renowned quality. The optimised shape of our profiles ensures a balanced relationship between the weight and load-bearing capacity of our components. Advantages such as these directly benefit our customers in the form of a wide range of possible applications for wall and roof constructions.
SCHRAG square-edged profiles are thin-walled and lightweight. At the same time, they are easy to install. Depending on the respective construction, our purlin systems can be used to realise large truss spacings. Bending-resistant connections of the purlins ensure an even distribution of the acting forces. The option of using purlins in a single-span girder system or in a coupled girder system offers designers great freedom in the structural design of their roof constructions. The use of individual components such as purlin brackets completes our comprehensive range. So-called tie rods - also referred to as "Schlaudern" - are only necessary in a few exceptional cases with SCHRAG systems - for example, if the roof shear is to be absorbed via the purlin. This results in a reduced installation effort.
